ISLAMABAD: The countdown has begun for the 2019 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after the Pakistan Cricket Board announced the schedule on Friday, with the first match to take place in the UAE on February 14.
The final, however, will be played in Karachi on March 17, a statement released by the PSL read.
“34 matches will be played in the fourth edition and for the first time in the short history of this highly-successful tournament, Lahore and Karachi will share eight matches between them at the backend of the 32-day event,” it said.

It added that 14 matches will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, four matches at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi while eight matches will take place in Sharjah.
South Africa's AB de Villiers and Brendan Taylor of Zimbabwe, and Steve Smith of Australia are three out of the 19 players who are expected to make their PSL debut next year.
